Stand Out with Custom Vinyl Banners

Spread the word about upcoming openings, sales, and events with eye-catching vinyl banners from U.S. Press. Our custom banner design tools allow each custom banner to be printed full color on one side or two. Single-sided banners are printed on durable 13 oz banner vinyl, while our double-sided banners are printed on premium 15 oz block out vinyl. Our banners are resistant to rain, wind, and sunlight, which means you can display yours either indoors or outdoors.

For the best quality and durability, we weld the edges of our banners. Welded edges protect the material from fraying and extend the lifetime of your banner. We also include free grommets every 2' for easy hanging and display. If you're looking to display your banner on a pole or rod, select the pole pockets finishing option (top only, or top and bottom).

If you plan on displaying your small or large vinyl banners in open wind environments, consider adding wind slits. Wind slits reduce the amount of wind stress placed on the banner by allowing air to pass through, which increases its longevity.

If you need any help or have any questions, give our printing experts a call at 800-227-7377 and they will happily guide you through the ordering process. Choose U.S. Press for all your custom banner printing needs.

Custom Banners FAQ

Do vinyl banners last long?

Yes, our banner vinyl is a 13 oz scrim vinyl material made for printing large banners. It’s lightweight yet durable and boasts a great printing surface.

Can I use these banners outdoors?

Yes, all of our banners are printed on durable outdoor banner vinyl and can withstand exposure to rain and sunlight. However, extreme conditions should be avoided. Typical lifespan for outdoor banners is 2 years.

What's the most common banner sizes?

While there's technically no industry "standard" size vinyl banner, there are several sizes that are most common among shoppers: 4' x 2', 5' x 3', 6' x 3', 8' x 3', and 8' x 4'. Out of these sizes, the 6' x 3' is the most popular size as it fits a standard 6' table, perfect for trade show displays, and has a 1:2 ratio. However, we can create your custom banner any size you need up to 10' tall and up to 100' long - with U.S. Press, the sky is the limit!

How do I install my banner?

Ropes, hardware or bungee cords applied through the grommets on the banner are the best way of installing it to a surface. Read more about display options here.

Do the cut edges of the banner wear out?

No – our banner production process includes edge welding to ensure a long-lasting, durable product.

What are pole pockets?

Pole pockets are when an extra length of vinyl is folded over itself on the sides of each banner, allowing poles to be inserted through the seams for display. Pole pockets are needed for light pole banners as well as backdrop banners placed on telescopic stands. Our standard pole pockets are 2”. If you need a different size pole pocket, please specify so on the checkout page under the instructions text box.

Single-sided banners are printed on standard 13 oz. banner vinyl, which is a durable, waterproof vinyl material. Our double-sided banners are printed on premium 15 oz blockout vinyl. Welded edges are included; grommets every 24" are optional. For banners that will be displayed on poles, you can add pole pockets to the top, bottom, or both.

Proofing: After you place your order and upload your artwork, our prepress team will begin inspecting your files to ensure your document size, bleed lines, margins, image resolution, and more are correct in order for the best print quality. They will email you a soft proof (PDF) for your approval prior to printing. Most proofs are sent within 1 business day of order placement; more complex art files can sometimes take longer. Soft proofing is an easy way to see what your finished product will look like and make sure the content is correct. However, soft proofing is not intended for exact color matching. Every monitor displays color differently, and on backlit screens, colors may appear lighter than the actual colors contained in your files. If color matching is critical, please give us a call at 800-227-7377 to order a hard proof.

Production Time: Production time begins after proof approval and is the time required to produce your order before it ships. It is calculated in business days, starting at the next occurrence of 9:00 AM Eastern on the 1st business day after the proof is approved. U.S. Press is closed Saturdays, Sundays and all major holidays; thus, these days are not included in the production schedule.
