Ordering and File Preparation


Where is U.S. Press located? How can I get in touch with U.S. Press?
We are located in Valdosta, Georgia, just off Interstate 75, about ten minutes north of the Florida-Georgia line. We’ve been proud to call Valdosta home since our founding in 1981. You can reach us at sales@uspress.com or 800-227-7377.


How do I begin placing an order with U.S. Press?
To place an order online, simply select a product from the Shop All page, choose your options, and proceed to checkout. If you prefer not to place an order online, you can contact one of our dedicated U.S. Press account managers to place an order over the phone or by email. How should I send in my artwork for printing?
There are a few ways to send files. If you’re ordering online, you can attach your artwork directly on the product page. Or, you can send your artwork through the Send Files page. Alternatively, for smaller files, you can email it directly to your account manager. We request print-ready PDFs for all orders.


What format do you prefer print files to be sent in?
For the best quality, we ask for you to send your artwork as a high resolution, print quality PDF. For more information on preparing your artwork for print, check out our File Preparation Guide.


Can U.S. Press help me with my artwork?
Yes! We offer design help services for any customer that needs a little assistance with their design. Give us a call at 800-227-7377 for a design quote.


I don't see exactly what I'm looking for online. Do you offer quotes for custom items?
Yes, custom printing is our specialty. To receive a quote on your custom project, please request a quote here.


How does U.S. Press ship its products to customers? When will my order be delivered?
Unless otherwise specified, your order will be shipped via UPS Ground Shipping. Shipping times are relevant to location, with most orders taking 2-4 business days for delivery AFTER production is complete. Printing turnaround time varies by product and quantity and is listed on each product page. If your order is time sensitive and you need it by a specific date, please contact us at 800-227-7377 or email sales@uspress.com to ensure we meet your deadline.


What forms of payment does U.S. Press accept?
We accept the all major credit cards as well as payments via PayPal. We require each order to be fully paid, including shipping and handling fees, if applicable, before we begin an order. 


Can I see some samples of different printed products before ordering?
Yes. We offer free sample kits to interested customers.


Proofing and Production:


Will I see a proof of my order before printing?
Yes, after order placement, we will prepare and email you a PDF proof of your piece. Most PDF proofs are sent within 1 business day of order placement. We will never print an order without your approval. 


Can I see a hard copy proof instead of a PDF proof?
Yes, to order a hard copy proof, simply select this option under the Proofing tab on each product pricing page. We will print and ship your hard copy proof overnight. While PDF proofs are great for content accuracy, hard copy proofs are best for color accuracy. Keep in mind though that ordering a hard copy proof will delay your order by an additional day. 


When does production time begin?
Production time begins after proof approval and is the time required to produce your order before it ships. It is calculated in business days, starting at the next occurrence of 9:00 AM Eastern on the 1st business day after the proof is approved. U.S. Press is closed Saturdays, Sundays and all major holidays; thus, these days are not included in the production schedule.


Can I change my order after I have approved my proof?
No, once your proof has been approved, it will be moved to production and no further changes can be made to the order. However, if you need to change a shipping address or shipping method, we typically can accommodate for that after proof approval and prior to order completion. Please notify your account manager as soon as possible in that case.


Does U.S. Press print onsite or use third party printers?
We proudly print everything in house here in Valdosta, meaning we’ve got full control over the printing process from start to finish. Our facility is manned by a team of experienced professionals that will ensure you’re satisfied with every order.


Mailing Services:


Can U.S. Press help me with the planning stages of a direct mail order?
Of course! Every new customer is assigned an account manager to assist with all orders, including direct mail campaigns. Your account manager will be happy to provide you with resources and information to make sure your campaign is a successful one. From list acquisition to final mail delivery, your account manager will walk you through every step of the way.


Can U.S. Press mail my printed pieces for me?
Yes, for direct mail pieces, most of our customers opt to have us mail for them to save both time and money. See our Direct Mail Services page or speak to your account manager for details. 


Can U.S. Press help me acquire a mail list?
Yes, if you do not currently have a mail list, we can help you obtain a list through one of our third party providers. Please call us at 800-227-7377 or email sales@uspress.com for more information. 


How much does postage cost?
Postage depends on many factors - the size of your piece, the quantity, where your pieces are being mailed to, and the mail class you choose. Once we receive your mail list, we will process your list using USPS-approved software to determine the exact cost of postage. From there, we will send you an invoice for postage that must be paid 3 days prior to the mail drop date. For a postage estimate prior to placing an order, please email sales@uspress.com.
