What's the Difference Between Rack Brochure Cards and Postcards?

Postcards are designed to be mailed, and rack brochures are meant to be displayed in specially designed racks. Both products are printed on cardstock; however, postcards are available in a variety of different sizes, while the rack brochure size is standardized. You can request a free sample kit to view our products prior to ordering.

Why Do Rack Brochures Use UV coating?

UV coating is a glossy finish available for brochure printing that provides a layer of protection to the paper and adds shine. You can choose to apply UV coating to one or both sides of the rack brochure. Please note: You cannot write on products with UV coating.

What's the Difference Between Rack Brochure Cards and Brochures?

While both pieces are intended to fit inside rack displays with a finished size of 4" x 9", rack brochures are folded whereas rack cards are flat. Rack brochures allow for more panels and thus more room for further inforamtion and pictures. Rack brochures are typically printed on text weight, whereas rack cards are always printed on cardstock.

Why Is There a Brochure Printing Size Limitation?

Rack brochures come in several options, but all fold down to a standard 4" x 9" as this fits into standard display racks.

How are rack brochures folded?

Our 8" x 9" rack brochure half folds to 4" x 9", whereas our 12" x 9" brochure tri-folds to 4" x 9". Our 16" x 9" option can either double-parallel fold or barrel fold depending on your preference.

From Proof to Your Door

Review & Approve

We check your artwork and email a PDF proof for your approval.

Production

Your selected production time begins after proof approval.

Shipping

Shipping transit time follows production and depends on the shipping method you select at checkout.

Proofing

After you place your order and upload your artwork, our prepress team will begin inspecting your files to ensure your document size, bleed lines, margins, image resolution, and more are correct in order for the best print quality. They will email you a soft proof (PDF) for your approval prior to printing. Most proofs are sent within 1 business day of order placement; more complex art files can sometimes take longer.

Soft proofing is an easy way to see what your finished product will look like and make sure the content is correct. However, soft proofing is not intended for exact color matching. Every monitor displays color differently, and on backlit screens, colors may appear lighter than the actual colors contained in your files. If color matching is critical, please give us a call at 800-227-7377 to order a hard proof.

Production Time

Production time begins after proof approval and is the time required to produce your order before it ships. It is calculated in business days, starting at the next occurrence of 9:00 AM Eastern on the 1st business day after the proof is approved.
