Review your proof. Our prepress team checks your file for size, bleed, margins, and resolution, then emails a PDF proof, usually within 1 business day. For color-critical work, choose a hard copy proof instead.
Approve and we print. Production starts the business day after you approve your proof, and your order ships from Valdosta, Georgia.

Poster Calendars FAQ

What is a poster calendar?

A poster calendar shows all 12 months of the year on the front of a single poster, usually with an image or design at the top. Ours are 12" x 18", so the whole year is visible at a glance on any wall.

What is UV coating, and can I write on it?

UV coating is a protective finish added to the front of your poster calendar. It gives the colors a high-gloss shine and helps the calendar hold up on the wall all year. Because the surface is glossy and sealed, ballpoint pens and pencils do not write on it well. If people will be writing appointments on the calendar, call us to talk through options.

Can I order a different size calendar poster?

Yes. If you need a size other than the 12" x 18" shown in our pricing calculator, call 800-227-7377 or email info@uspress.com and we will put together a custom quote.

What is the minimum order for poster calendars?

The minimum order is 100 poster calendars. You can order up to 10,000 through the online calculator. For larger runs, contact us for a custom quote.

How should I set up my poster calendar file?

Send a print-ready PDF built at the 12" x 18" trim size with 0.125" of bleed on all sides, which makes the full file 12.25" x 18.25". Keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim line, and use images at 300 PPI. Our free poster calendar templates in PDF, AI, PSD, and InDesign format have the bleed and safe area already marked.

How long does it take to print and ship poster calendars?

We email your PDF proof after you place your order, usually within 1 business day. Once you approve it, production takes several business days depending on the option you choose. We are closed weekends and major holidays, and those days do not count toward production time. Orders ship from Valdosta, Georgia by ground, with faster shipping options available at checkout. Transit time is added on top of production time.

When should I order calendars for the new year?

Order your 2027 poster calendars in November or early December. That leaves time for proof changes, production, and shipping, so your calendars arrive before holiday gifting and are on the wall by January 1. If you are mailing them to clients, plan for mailing time too.

Poster calendars are printed on 12 Pt C2S, which is a medium-weight, bright white, coated cover stock with a glossy appearance. We add Gloss UV Coating to the front of your postcards to add shine and provide protection against damage. You cannot write on products with UV Coating.

Set your bleed to .125" on all sides

Safe Area:

Set your margins to .125" and keep all important elements (logos, text, and images that do not bleed) within these margins

Resolution:

300 PPI for all images is strongly recommended for best print quality

Shipping transit time follows production and depends on the shipping method you select at checkout.

Proofing

After you place your order and upload your artwork, our prepress team will begin inspecting your files to ensure your document size, bleed lines, margins, image resolution, and more are correct in order for the best print quality. They will email you a soft proof (PDF) for your approval prior to printing. Most proofs are sent within 1 business day of order placement; more complex art files can sometimes take longer.

Soft proofing is an easy way to see what your finished product will look like and make sure the content is correct. However, soft proofing is not intended for exact color matching. Every monitor displays color differently, and on backlit screens, colors may appear lighter than the actual colors contained in your files. If color matching is critical, please give us a call at 800-227-7377 to order a hard proof.

Production Time

Production time begins after proof approval and is the time required to produce your order before it ships. It is calculated in business days, starting at the next occurrence of 9:00 AM Eastern on the 1st business day after the proof is approved.

U.S. Press is closed Saturdays, Sundays and all major holidays; thus, these days are not included in the production schedule.

Shipping Transit Time

Once production is complete, your order will ship out via the shipping method you select at checkout. All of our orders ship from our location in Valdosta, Georgia. The transit map below shows expected transit time from our plant in Valdosta to your location based on FedEx Ground shipping.

Alternatively, you can select an expedited shipping method (FedEx Express Saver - 3 business day transit), FedEx 2nd Day Air (2 business day transit), or FedEx Overnight Standard (1 business day transit).
