Pocket folders give your company a professional finish every time you meet with a client. They'll boost your brand image as well as keep important information organized for your clients and colleagues. Pocket folders are printed full color outside (4/0) or full color outside and inside (4/4) with UV coating to make your graphics pop.

Folders are printed on 130# gloss cover, which is a thick cover stock with gloss UV coating on the printed sides for beautiful shine and vibrant colors. Our gloss UV coating provides protection against damage. You cannot write on products with UV Coating.
Basic layout and print file guidelines:Document size: Same size as final trim size of piece
Bleed: Set your bleed to .125" on all sides
Safe Area: Set your margins to .125" and keep all important elements (logos, text, and images that do not bleed) within these margins
Resolution: 300 PPI for all images is strongly recommended for best print quality
File Type: PDFs are preferred

Proofing: After you place your order and upload your artwork, our prepress team will begin inspecting your files to ensure your document size, bleed lines, margins, image resolution, and more are correct in order for the best print quality.They will email you a soft proof (PDF) for your approval prior to printing. Most proofs are sent within 1 business day of order placement; more complex art files can sometimes take longer. Soft proofing is an easy way to see what your finished product will look like and make sure the content is correct. However, soft proofing is not intended for exact color matching. Every monitor displays color differently, and on backlit screens, colors may appear lighter than the actual colors contained in your files. If color matching is critical, please give us a call at 800-227-7377 to order a hard proof.Production Time: Production time begins after proof approval and is the time required to produce your order before it ships. It is calculated in business days, starting at the next occurrence of 9:00 AM Eastern on the 1st business day after the proof is approved. U.S. Press is closed Saturdays, Sundays and all major holidays; thus, these days are not included in the production schedule.
Pocket Folders FAQ
Are presentation folders the same thing as pocket folders?Yes, the terms are often used interchangeably. Presentation/pocket folders include pockets on the inside for carrying documents and materials.
Are there options available for pockets to include documents or business cards?We can gladly print pockets on one or both sides, plus your choice of one or two business card slits free of charge.
Can my folders have a solid color background?Yes, we print folders in full color, so you are welcome to include as much or as little color as you would like in your design.
If I want color printed on the pockets, do I need to select the 4/0 ink option or the 4/4 ink option?4/0 means the outside plus the pockets of your folders will include full color. 4/4 means both the inside and outside of your folders will include full color. If you would like color on the pockets but not in the inside back of the folder, then simply select the 4/0 option.
Should I include my company’s logo or contact information in the design?Of course! Make sure to include your logo or contact information. It’s best if it’s integrated into the design.
What is UV coating?UV coating is a protective finish that is added to the outside of your file folders. It provides an extra shiny appearance to make your graphics really stand out.
