Digital Press Operator

Job description

As a full service printing company, U.S. Press is seeking motivated digital press operators. Our digital press operators are responsible for the operation and maintenance of our Konica Minolta (KM1) and Ricoh presses. Prior experience in the printing industry is preferred, but not required. We offer training!

Job Duties and Responsibilites

  • Reads and understands job ticket
  • Verifies all specifications of the order and tasks necessary to complete it
  • Ensures all graphics match the proof on the job ticket
  • Accurately log time on all orders using our shop floor data collection software
  • Ensures orders are produced accurately to job specs and by their deadlines
  • Able to solve issues as they arise
  • Ensures the production level of their equipment is optimal
  • Must demonstrate reliability through attendance and punctuality
  • Maintains a neat and organized work area
  • Is flexible to work in different departments if needed

Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or advanced technical school training
  • Strong computer and mechanical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and all levels of management
  • Must have reliable transportion

Bindery/Post-Press Operator

Job description

As a full service printing company, U.S. Press is seeking motivated bindery/post-press operators. Our post press operators are responsibile for the operation and maintenance of binding and finishing equipment. Prior experience in the printing industry is preferred, but not required. We offer training!

  • Reads and understands job ticket
  • Verifies all specifications of the order and tasks necessary to complete it
  • Ensures all graphics match the proof on the job ticket
  • Accurately log time on all orders using our shop floor data collection software
  • Ensures orders are produced accurately to job specs and by their deadlines
  • Able to solve issues as they arise
  • Ensures the production level of their equipment is optimal
  • Must demonstrate reliability through attendance and punctuality
  • Maintains a neat and organized work area

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to regularly lift 50-60 lbs
